Looking at the "Exchange Domain Servers" global group in AD, I can see my nodes in that group, but not the name of the EVS itself. Is the EVS supposed to be in this group? I am troubleshooting a Public Folder replication issue where I'm transferring some of the public folders from a non-clustered server to a clustered server, and I think it's not deleting the replica from the non-clustered server because the cluster does not have permissions to do so. Any insight would be most appreciated. http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/01/23/417974.aspx Thanks! JohnC
No, the EVS isn't a member of Ex Domain Servers - just the nodes. -- Bharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------------------------- "John C" wrote in message news:486313D8-7529-43C1-AA75-6B9F31963CB4@microsoft.com... > Looking at the "Exchange Domain Servers" global group in AD, I can see my > nodes in that group, but not the name of the EVS itself. Long answer: Exchange services run under the local system account. It is because of this that the local comuter account for each server running exchange goes into Exchange domain servers, and each exchange domain servers group into Exchange enterprise servers. Even on a cluster, the actual service is running under the local system account on a given node; not the account created for kerberos authentication of the EVS name. Short answer: No "John C" wrote in message news:486313D8-7529-43C1-AA75-6B9F31963CB4@microsoft.com... > Looking at the "Exchange Domain Servers" global group in AD, I can see my > nodes in that group, but not the name of the EVS itself.
