cluster service account issue
I am running an A/A/P Exchange 2003 Enterprise on Windows 2003 Enterprise cluster.

I need to switch the cluster service account from domain\administrator account to domain\clusterserviceaccount.

I setup the clusterserviceaccount as a general user, added the account to the local admins of each cluster node server, added the account to the following security on the servers, per KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307532

.Log on as a service.Act as part of the operating system.Back up files and directories.Adjust memory quotas for a process.Increase scheduling priority.Restore files and directories

I moved all resources from my #3 exchange server to #2 so no cluster resources were running on that server. Then I turned off cluster service and change the credentials to the new account. Cluster service restarted fine.

I then failed the cluster group and EVS2 over to my #3 server.

So #3 server is using the new account and #2 and #1 are using the old domain\administrator account.

I tried to setup the new cluster service account on the #2 server and it won't start saying there a login problem. I've typed the userID and password over and over and it still won't work.

Any ideas?

Re: cluster service account issue
Never mind. This has turned out to be a very complex issue at this point and I have engaged Microsoft support. Even though below should have worked it didn't and brought to like issues related to kerberos, rsa keys, IIS metabase corruption and a few other misc issues.
