SCC Exchange 2007 problems - messages and calendar events are coming up missing
We have a three node SCC Exchange 2007 cluster with mailboxes. We are
getting some end users that are saying that messages/calendar events are
missing. We are at rollup Update # 4. The OS is windows 2003 R2
enterprise Service Pack 2 connecting to an EMC using ISCSI, the application
log does not indicate we are having any problem with the storage groups on
the server. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advanced!

Nope - No file level antivirus running on the server.

Do you think this could possible be a problem with the client?

Check using OWA or from a different computer to narrow that down...

Did that also, I thought perhaps a view in outlook 2007 was causing the
message not to show up.

In the application log on the server, there really isn't no error or warning
on any of the stores. It is pretty clean.

I asked one user to do an outlook.exe /cleaviews

So basically you would troubleshoot this at the client level first. Is
there any other outlook switches that might help?

Re: SCC Exchange 2007 problems - messages and calendar events are coming up missing
- Try from another computer (if you've already done that, ignore this).
- Is this a recurring problem or an isolated case?
- Does it impact more than one users?
- Is it possible the messages were infact deleted / hard deleted manually or
deleted/moved by a rule?
- Are new messages/calendar items disappearing as well?

Re: SCC Exchange 2007 problems - messages and calendar events are coming up missing
Bharat,

Thanks. We think we have narrow it down to end users that are using both
Outlook 2007 and a mobile device. Have you heard of any issues with
mobile devices?
