Exchange version for CAS/HT clustering
Hi there,

I wish to use NLB to load balance the CAS role (on same box as HT.) My only
question is - is Exchange Server 2007 St. Edition sufficient to do this, or
should it be Enterprise? We have both versions available, but I am curious.

Thanks!

Re: Exchange version for CAS/HT clustering
NLB works on all versions of 2003 (expect Small Business Server).

At this point Microsoft does not support what you are trying to do though,
but I personally would do it anyways. Read Russ's blog on the subject -
http://msmvps.com/blogs/clusterhelp/archive/2007/10/05/exchange-server-2007-hub-transport-and-client-access-service-on-the-same-nlb-cluster.aspx

Cheers,

Re: Exchange version for CAS/HT clustering
Thanks for your answer - what version of Exchange would be required?

Re: Exchange version for CAS/HT clustering
Does not matter. I would only do Standard for CAS & HTs.

Cheers,
