[RPC Failure] Exchange 2003 cluster
Hi, I sure hope that someone can help me out.
I just installed Exchange 2003 SP2 on a 2 node Windows 2003 SP1 cluster.
The quorum is located on an extra server (Majority node set)
I was just finishing creating the System Attendant resource when I received
and RPC error.

Setup encountered an error while checking prerequisites
for the component "Microsoft Exchange Server". 0xc00706ba. The RPC
service is unavailable. Facility: Microsoft Exchange Cluster
Administrator Extension. ID no. c103fc97 Microsoft Cluster
Administrator Extension.

- the remote registry service is running on all nodes.
- the public NIC has the highest binding
- the RPC Service is running

but i still get the errors. I attached the log file [1]. Any help that you
could provide would be very much appreciated.

kind regards from germany

Wolfgang Wilhelm

Re: [RPC Failure] Exchange 2003 cluster
It fails while trying to verify RUS creation. The RPC failure is while
attempting to contact a DC.

What happens when you run a "net view \\domaincontrollername" on the nodes?
