Hi, i set up an environment based on one DC and 2 Cluster nodes (all Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise). Cluster is set up and running. MSDTC resource is also running, forestprep and domainprep are finished. When i now try to install the exchange server on one node i stuck in the window where i can choose the components. I set the action for to custom (typical does not work) i change the action for Systemtools to install and the path is set to c:\program files\exchsvr. I try to set the action for Microsoft Exchange Messaging and collaboration to install but then i get the error message "The component Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services" cannot be assigned the action "install" because: - The installation directory cannot be on a cluster shared drive What does he mean? i do not have the possibility to set the Installation directory. Any help is appreciated. Regards Alex
The Exchange binaries must be installed on local disks. Have you added the C: drive to a cluster group?
