Resource Calendars
We're running Exch 2007 with OUtlook 2003 sp3. When scheduling recurring
meetings with a conf room resource, the requestor receives a decline notice
because ONE of the recurring dates falls on a holiday. We never experienced
this issue when we ran Exchange 2003.

Is there a way to allow Exchange to schedule the meeting even if it's on a
holiday?

You could remove the holidays from the resource calendars, no?

Re: Resource Calendars
Thanks for the very prompt response! I suppose we could do that. Is this
something new with Exchange '07...declining the resource if it falls on a
holiday? I don't recall it being an issue in Exchange 2003.

Re: Resource Calendars
Exchange 2007 made numerous improvements to auto-acceptance of calendar
events. Few of us ever considered previous versions to be enterprise-ready,
which is why we recommend third-party add-ons instead of the standard
product for this with earlier versions. It looks like Microsoft might have
gotten it right this time.

Re: Resource Calendars
Just a thought: With the Auto-Accept agent for Exchange 2003 I was
able to set the agent to allow for x number of exceptions when booking
for a recurrance. This would allow us to get around the Holiday issue.

Is this possible with Exchange 2007? We are getting ready to move to
it and this will be an issue.
