Look in the group memberships for a user loaded Distribution Group being in the Exchange Enterprise Servers DG (or similarly named groups depending on your Exchange version). Also look on the properties of the store and see what groups are given "Full Mailbox Access" or a similar set of permissions. There are sooooo many ways to achieve what has happened to you that they're difficult to list here. Looking through permissions and group memberships will nearly allways result in the answer leaping out at you.
