Can we customize the localized string in OWA 2007 Logon page?
I just want to find out if customization of the following contents in OWA
2007 Logon Page is possible or not? If yes then can you please provide me a
good document.

1. Remove the field title “Domain\user name:” and put “E-Mail Address:”
2. Replace bottom area. Currently it is <logo> Connected to Microsoft
Exchange” etc. We want it to say “To protect your account from unauthorized
access, Company’s Web Mail Access automatically closes its connection to your
mailbox after a period of inactivity. If your session ends, refresh your
browser, and then log on again. <line space> copyright symbol, Company
Limited. ”
3. When you select Show Explanation next to Security, the following should
be displayed:

a) Under “This is a public or shared computer” – “Select this option if you
use Company’s Web Mail Access on a public computer.”

b) Under “This is a private computer.” -

We are not using ISA. We have used the following link to change the Look of
the OWA: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310750.aspx.
Unfortunately, this document deals with the visual styling of the OWA
interface. We can’t find any reference to modifying the localized string
content. We want to customize the localized string content.

With best regards,

Muhammad

I don't know of any 'official' way to change the value of the rendered
strings, but you can certainly hard-code them into the logon.aspx file where
required. For example, replace

  <%=UserNameLabel%>

with

  Email address
