OWA Subject Field
I have MS Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2003 and OWA.

We can run OWA with no problems apart from special characters in the subject
field.

I have changed the URLSCAN.ini on our Front end Exchange server and
restarted the IIS Service, but I am still having problems.

Can anyone Help ?

Kind Regards

Tony

Is there a URLScan.ini on the BE server(s)? They will need changing too.

Hello Lee,

URL Scan is not on the Back end servers, we do have an isa server (205), i
can show you part of the log file it that helps.

Re: OWA Subject Field
I notice that it mentions URL Normalization. I don't know that much about
ISA, but I do know that there is an option to disable normalization checking
on the published URL.

I opened up ISA server, selected Extentions, Webfilters and disabled URLScan
Filter and it is working, do you know of any issues with doing this?

Re: OWA Subject Field
Well, the possible issues are those of someone trying to attack your server
by sending specially crafted URLs. Unfortunately, it's a choice you need to
make.
