RE: Outlook IMAP Error
Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that you connect the Outlook to
a IMAP server, but intermittent get error about the IMAP connection. If I
have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
First, please let me know that: Does the IMAP server is your internal
Exchange server?
If the IMAP server is the external server in your ISP, this will be not a
Exchange related issue. Please repost your issue in Outlook newsgroup for
help. Or contact the ISP for assistance.

If the IMAP server is your internal Exchange server, based on my research,
I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can resolve this issue:
1. This problem occurs because the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service are
turned off by default in Exchange. Please open services console on Exchange
server and ensure the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service is started.
2. The unstable network connection will also cause this issue. Please try
to ping the Exchange IP address with switch t (ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -t)
(Ctrl+C to stop) when the issue happen, to test the response time and to
see whether there is lost package.
3. What's version of your Outlook?
4. What's version of your Exchange server?

| We are on a wired LAN, and outlook is connected when this issue occurs.
