Can't update CEO free/busy calendar
Outlook 2003 was repaired on my CEO's assistant's PC. I am finding that her
system no longer will permit her to update my CEO's calendar. It shows that
she has editor permission in the security tab. But, all options are grayed
out. I also see a (2) BY HER CALENDAR. What do I need to do to do to allow
her to update my CEO's calendar. It is a major part of her job duties.

RE: Can't update CEO free/busy calendar
Hello Customer,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that the assistant unable to
update CEO's calendar after repaired her Outlook 2003. If I have
misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:

I. Ensure the permissions for CEO's shared calendar, follow these steps:
1. Open the CEO's mailbox with Outlook. In the Navigation Pane, click
Calendar.
2. On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Properties for
"Calendar".
3. Click the Permissions tab.
4. Click Add, and then add the assistant user account.
5. With the user selected, set the Permission Level to "Editor".
6. Click OK to close the Calendar Properties dialog box.

II. Open CEO shared calendar from assistant mailbox:
1. Open the assistant mailbox with Outlook. In the Navigation Pane, click
Calendar.
2. Click Open a Shared Calendar link
3. Input the CEO's user account, click OK

III. If this issue persists, I suggest that we create a new Outlook profile
of assistant. A new profile is a new environment for us to use Outlook.
Creating new profile will not do any damage to the old profile. Please
follow the steps in the Microsoft KB article below:

How to create a new e-mail profile in Outlook 2003

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Terence Liu,
