Relay works in Outlook Express but not outlook 2003
I have been fighting a relay problem.
After running Microsoft Security tool on Exchange 2003 and following its
recomendations I was unable to realy to external addresses using a POP3
client.

I was able to fix outlook express by adding my domain name before the
username in the tab for my outgoing server requires authentication.

domain\username

I tried the same fix for outlook 2003 clients but I am still unable to relay
for external hosts.

What is the difference between outlook express and outlook 2003?

RE: Relay works in Outlook Express but not outlook 2003
I have found the fix for this issue.

For whatever reason I have to check the box for USE SECURE PASSWORD
AUTHENTICATION on my outlook 2003 clients but NOT on outlook express clients.

Go Figure...

Oh well it works
