Hello, I got remember someone posted a solution on this once but I lost it. I have a user - jdoe@acme.com on exchange 2003 running Office 2007. They have another SMTP address hr@acme.com. When they receive e-mails I want to create a rule that automatically puts e-mails sent to hr@acme.com into a seperate folder but it looks like the e-mails are going to jdoe@acme.com -their default e-mail address even though they were sent to hr@acme.com - any suggestions short of creating a seperate account? Thanks

Give it the display name you want. Then add jdoe to the group. New mail coming in to HR@acme.com will show the HR group's display name in the TO field. Not jdoe's, which is what happens when you add an alias address to someone's mailbox properties. That always displays the main mailbox display name and makes it hard to determine to whom a msg was sent.
Thanks - I used the distribution group - works fine - thanks again. Strange - for me it goes to the person's outlook as their default e-mail address instead of this additional one - I ended up just using a distribution group which works fine for rules - not sure why yours works and mine doesn't.
