Apologies in advance if this is a FAQ, I couldn't find it. Recently I sent an email from OWA that had been sitting in drafts for a couple of weeks and I noticed that the sent date was older than I expected - it appears to be the date the draft was last saved instead of the sent date. The sent date is also wrong in Outlook, so it appears to be not just a GUI glitch but has been recorded in Exchange. Is this a known issue and is there a way to fix up emails with wrong sent dates? Thanks in advance David
Wrong field - it's the Received Date that's old, not the Sent Date. It's always important that you include that info when you post in these groups.....
OWA 2000 and 2003 behaves differently than Outlook in this regard. When you open a new message in OWA, a new message is created in the Drafts folder. There are also special "OWA Scratch Pad" system public folders that hold attachments. That Drafts entry will stay there until the message is deleted or sent. -- Ed Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
