Gaining commercial exchange experience
I have a problem in that I have 6 solid years of I.T experience but
unfortunately it's all been in Lotus Notes houses. I want to change jobs
(and go exchange) and my lack of commercial exchange is a real problem. Can
anyone suggest any way I can work around this or gap-fil my lack of
commercial exchange? I have the MCSE plus messaging and have took a couple
of exchange courses but I feel I'm in a chicken and egg scenrio with my
exchange (or lack of) skills. I'm in the U.K.

TIA from a frustrated techie!

Yep, a typical IT job Catch-22 situation. I would suggest installing an
Exchange server at home, perhaps in a Virtual Environment. That way, you
will at least get some familiarity with it, if not exactly commercial
experience.

Where in the UK are you based? Cobweb are currently looking for Junior
Exchange Administrators.

So much for that idea then! We're down South.

This link
(http://www.exchangemaster.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28&Itemid=41)
is called "Getting Started With Microsoft Exchange". I would personally
suggest Virtual Labs on Microsoft Web site, and of course, your own Virtual
Environment.
