Hello,

I'm send here true the Dutch communitie. We have the following problem.
Oure information store was corrupted. True Exmerge we restored the mailboxen.
For the people who use Office2007 we had to delete en install a new Outlook
profile.
The problem now is that we can not use the archive. The error is that he
discovered a catalogcontrolpoint. I've already do the following.
Used the SCANPST and the SCANOST.
started the Outlook whitout the cache ( Outlook still created a new OST file )
Make a new archive file.

All those things dont work. The Dutch communitie has send me here becouse
they don't know the solution.

Is there anyone here who can help us?

Note that OST files are not archives - they're mirrors/copies of the
Exchange mailbox. The word "archive" will make people think you're using PST
files.

Meaning, you started Outlook with cached mode disabled? Good.

It can't have done yet...

Disable cached mode
Close Outlook, and make sure that outlook.exe is not running in the
background
Rename or delete the old OST file
Restart Outlook
Re-enable cached mode
Re-start Outlook

It should create a new cache file on its own.

....not manually.

If the above steps don't work, please post back with the exact error message
you're getting.

Eh? What does autoarchive have to do with this? You were talking about OST
files.
Autoarchive is based on the date an item was *modified* - which may not be
the date you see.
I don't recommend autoarchive or PST files.

The errors you're seeing may be resolved by reinstalling Office.

You can't change the modified date, no. But you shouldn't be using
autoarchive or PST files - and you haven't explained what this has to do
with your OST file.

People want a lot of things!

If the data is important, it belongs on your server(s). If it isn't
important enough to keep there, it probably iisn't important enough to keep.

As I suggested, you should turn off autoarchive. Don't use it. If your
company needs to archive old data, get server-side products (GFI, Quest,
Symantec, etc) instead. Or, set up mailbox manager policies that will delete
messages older than X days/weeks/months from the folders you wish.

I'm not sure I can help you further....
