Exchange ActiveSync only works when Outlook is connected to this mailbox
Hello,

I also have the issue that Exchange Active Sync only works, when Outlook is
connected to this mailbox.

I have recreated the OMA directories in IIS (like documented in the KB) and
checked everything I could. The issue is definately not related to SSL or
WAN issues because I have also tried it via Wireless Lan in the same Subnet
as the Server.
I also tried a clean Mailbox. The same. If I sync, no mails are sent. If a
user logs on to this mailbox, mails are synced.

The server is SBS2003 with Exchange SP2. Patch is uptodate

The only change I can think of that could be interesting is the installation
of the event sink for calendar for a meeting room.

Any help would be very appreciated. If I should post any logs I will do so.

Best Regards
Jan

Hi Jan

You might want to see this;

In regedit navigate to;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS
\VirusScan> Enabled = 0 (Default is 1)

After you make the above change try a sync.

I might be being overconfident here, but I think you have Sopho's AV!
