winmail.dat
Hi

Suddenly we start to get winmail.dat file in our internal mail (mail sent
within the same Exchange organisation) mail sent external seems to be ok.
Clients are al outlook 2003 and exchange 2003.
We managed to reproduce the error on a client that worked ok by updating it
with the latest patches thru windows update. The same email is ok one one
client but another has winmail.dat attached (same mailbox not cached mode on
clients)

Suggestion?

Re: winmail.dat
winmail.dat is usually produced due to the inability to read Rich Text
Format. You could try to setting the default in Exchange to HTML and having
it override the client settings. But this is just a bandaid. Outlook should
be able to understand RTF.

Re: winmail.dat
Thx for your reply.
A good old fashion restart of the Exchange server solved the problem.
