By setting up a single policy that applies to all users......

No, not via policy. It's spam. Users are supposed to review it and empty the
junk - after whitelisting the stuff that's good.
If you want to archive it, or have another option, don't use the IMF for
this - look at Postini or MailFoundry or similar services, which will
scan/scrub the mail before it gets to your server, and users can manage
their own quarantines on the web.

I don't really understand what that means....

Re: Emptying the SPAM-folder
Hi!
So, I went into setting up a policy that would affect my user account only
within the test phase and I wanted this specific policy to affect my SPAM
folder. As I am using a Swedish version of the Outlook 2007, then the SPAM
folder is named "Skräppost" in Outlook. When I look into the creation of the
policy then there seems to be no means by which I can find the folder
"Skräppost" nor any folder named "Spam" in the predefined list of folders to
which a policy could apply.
I wonder if you have got an answer to whether there are any standard names
to use such that the Exchange server will recognize that it is the Spam
folder that is to be emptied or are there no "clues" to how to manage this.
Okay, so what do I do when I have configured the policy? How do I make it
work permanently? Is there some activation of the policy that I need to do in
order for it to become active?
Thanks for your information!

Add the folder manually - you can do this pretty easily.

Please check out what the policy can do - it's really quite straightforward.
Have it set up to report only at first - then in ESM, find the private
store, right-click, mailbox management ....send results to you via email.
I'm telling you this from memory....but it should be close.
