Exchange 2007 & Instant Messaging
I am currently proposing a solution to migrate from our current POP3
infrastructure to IMAP. The product of choice is Exchange 2007 and I
am currently listing some of the features and benefits.

One of the features I can across is instant messaging.

My question is:

Can we implement Instant Messaging with Exchange 2007 or do we require
additional software (i.e. Communcations Server etc...)?

There are a lot of reference to Instant Messaging with Exchange but I
can't seem to see any clarity as to whether it is included in Exchange
or as an add-on.

Thanks

Re: Exchange 2007 & Instant Messaging
You would have to implement OCS, or another third party tool.
