I think you'll get more answers if you tried posting the message in
microsoft.public.exchange.admin . This group has less people taking part.
My guess is that there was no version 7 released - many programmers use
odd-numbered versions for Betas:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_versioning#Odd-numbered_versions_for_development_releases
On the other hand, there was a version 5.0 and 5.5, so who knows? But like
I say, if you really need to know, try asking in the main .admin newsgroup.
