My mail server has been added to block lists on occasion because it was used to relay spam mail and was reported as doing such. I have spent a lot of time researching the exchange settings to properly set it to receive and deliver email without the use of open relay, but to no avail. Under RELAY RESTRICTIONS, whenever I select "only the list below", I am no longer able to receive internet email. I do have "allow computers which successfully authenticate to relay" selected, and have tried many other things to block the relay without interruption to receiving internet mail, but cannot find a solution. Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Exchange 2003 Enterprise Service Pack 2 Thanks, Dan Mazur
HI, settings you made are correct to configure your server as not open relay, you have just to add your server IP address in the list of IP permitted to send on default smtp virtual server configuration once set "only the list below". In this way you should be able to send and receive mail being not an open relay server. bye "Daniel Mazur" wrote in message news:eF2UW3USIHA.2268@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > My mail server has been added to block lists on occasion because it was > used to relay spam mail and was reported as doing such.
