Hi all, I had an issue recently where a 90Gb store got corrupted and I had to restore from backup. The backup wasn't cooperating so I had to load a blank database so people could work while I worked on getting the backup restored. Right now I finally have the backup loaded into a different store on another exchange server (same admin group) and I'm looking for the easiest way to merge the bigger database into the smaller database or vice versa. I'm looking at somehow moving the smaller database (currently about 5Gb) out of the store, move the bigger one in there, load it up, and then use Exmerge to merge the smaller database into the bigger one. Will this work... in that, can I simply move a database out and put another there in its place without risking corruption or having nothing work anymore. Or could anyone tell me what would be recommended in getting this accomplished? Thanks!

This is where you can use the recovery storage group and merge the restored mailboxes into the new production or swap the two if required.
