mail store on new server
We have recently bought a new server (needed more processing power) and no
longer have the old one as this has been reassigned. Our old server had
Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003. The new server has come pre-configured with
Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 and has the default mailbox store configuration
which is ok for our needs.

I have moved the pub and priv *.edb & *.stm files from the old server to the
new one so I would have exact copies of each users mailbox on the new server.
I copied the files into the same place on the server and have tried to mount
the mailbox stores, only I get an error message that says the stores cannot
be mounted due to a configuration error.

Is there any way that I can mount the stores on the new server or has email
gone for good? I do have an online backup of the mail stores on tape which I
could restore to the new server if this is possible?

Help needed urgently as we are without our old emails!

Regards
Julian
