diskpart   
Are there any issues with using diskpart.exe to extend the size of a drive 
that is holding an exchange database?

I would want to make sure I had a good backup and turn off the Exchange 
services before doing it.

Yeah - i've done it in my lab.

Heed Martins advice, ensure Exchange is offline (or at least the store/s 
that are on the disk) and also ensure you have a full verified backup.
