Strange behavior. Any explanation?
Hi,

Server is Exchange 2007 SP1.

On my workstation, Outlook Express is setup with my email as a POP3 account.

Today I created an IMAP account that is different from mine.

I have a folder on my desktop with .EML files, which I once dragged out of
Outlook Express for backup.

I dragged these files to the inbox of the IMAP account. Everything looked
fine until a few seconds later, when the emails somehow disappeared from the
Inbox. (No one else was connected to this inbox.) After 5 minutes of trying
to determine what happened, I found them in my POP3 account.

Why did this happen? These are two different accounts altogether.

Can someone shed some light on this?

This looks *so* much like a client issue to me...

Re: Strange behavior. Any explanation?
Simple. Your POP account downloaded them again from your inbox.

I would suggest you use MAPI rather than POP or IMAP.

Re: Strange behavior. Any explanation?
No, I clearly indicated that the POP and IMAP are separate accounts
(different mailboxes in Exchange).
