Exchange 2007 Defrag question
We want to defrag a couple of our stores the problem is we don't have the
recommended 110 % of free disk space that Microsoft recommends. Is there
any way to split the temporary file that is created during this entire
process?

Any suggestions on what we can do.

Thanks in advance,
Eric Sabo

Dont defrag. Move mailboxes to new stores and empty the old if you
really need to do this. (why the need?)

Re: Exchange 2007 Defrag question
I was thinking about doing this but it is not an option. We have three
mailbox stores - I guess I could move everyone off one store then delete
that store - move to the second one and move them to the newly created store
then delete that store - move the other store to both of these stores. We
deleted about 4,000 mailboxes off all three of the stores.

Re: Exchange 2007 Defrag question
Wow.
What is your event 1221 telling you for each store?
You can certainly redirect the defrag, but depending on what you redirect
too, could impact the performance significantly.
