At work I have Exchange Server 2003 running on SBS 2003 SP2. Problem started when I configured Outlook over the Internet to be able to access my Exchange email at home through Outlook. I also have a Comcast (POP 3) account that I also access through Outlook. Now I'm getting duplicate emails through my Comcast account. I went to edit Send/Receive and I have the Exchange and Comcast accounts showing. Now I'm lost as to what configuration I may need to do to stop this. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks is advance. url:http://www.ureader.com/gp/1166-1.aspx
Do you have Forward Rule setup on your Exchange Mailbox to your Comcast account? -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2008 Microsoft Certified Partner "Samson Mpofu" wrote in message news:fe86eff4b823485e9542c9359b34b479@newspe.com... > At work I have Exchange Server 2003 running on SBS 2003 SP2. Do you have the option checked "Leave a copy of messages on the server" if so make sure you are running Office sp2 as this can cause duplicates. Duplicate e-mail messages are downloaded from a POP3 e-mail server account in Outlook 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885870 James Chong (MVP) MCITP | EMA; MCSE | M, S, Security, Project, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com On Jul 8, 7:05 pm, "Samson Mpofu" wrote: > At work I have Exchange Server 2003 running on SBS 2003 SP2. Thank you for your response. I don't have any rules set up on Outlook. Where on my Exchange Mailbox can I go to check if there's a Forward Rule setup? url:http://www.ureader.com/msg/116629330.aspx
It now looks like mine was a configuration problem which I think I solved last night. Before I configured Outlook over the Internet to access my Exchange email at home, both my home and work computers had Outlook for my Comcast account. After the configuration, my home Outlook on my home PC now showed that my email went to my Exchange Mailbox. Both Comcast accounts (home and work) showed in the "all accounts" group in send/receive. Sending and receiving mail items were selected under options on both PCs (home & work). Now what I did was unchecked "receive mail items" on the Comcast account in Outlook on my home PC. One copy that's "received" on my work PC is the same copy that now shows on my home PC as both PCs show my Exchange Mailbox. I don't know if my explanation is clear enough but the problem is now gone. Thank you for your time and assistance. url:http://www.ureader.com/msg/116629330.aspx
