E2k3 Does not check Groups
Hi,

On a exchange 2003 std box I have assigned a security group to a public
folder for managing the rights. But the server does not check membership
for the user in this group. If the user itself has no rights to access
the folder he can't access it even when he is in assigned security group.

Where do I have to look for the problem?

thanks
norbert

Make sure you're in AD native mode and then you should be able to use
mail-enabled security groups to manage your PF permissions.

Re: E2k3 Does not check Groups
As Lanwench states, make sure you're AD is in Native mode. Also, use a
Universal Security Group. The membership of a universal group is stored in
the GC partition of AD. Domain groups require expansion. Domain groups are
notorious for failing silently when there are issues with expansion. Using
a USG is a best practice.
