Reocuring meetings
Hello all
am running 2 exchange 2003 sp2 servers that are in the same admin and
routing groups. I replicate the free busy folders to both exchange servers,
and users are running Outlook2007. The issue I am having is when a user
schedules a reoccurring meeting, the meeting does get scheduled and the
meeting is seen in the users calendar and the resource mailbox calendar, but
when the user tries to delete the entire series of the meeting, its removed
from users calendar but the scheduled meeting still shows as scheduled in
the resource mailbox's calendar. When I open the resource mailbox I can see
the cancelation notice, but it appears that the notification is not being
processed by the resource mailbox and the meeting stays scheduled. I am
*not* experiencing the same issues with regular one day meetings only
reoccurring meetings. Also whats the best way to have a user schedule a
meeting so they get the notification set to them that the meeting was
succesfully created?

Many Thanks

Using Direct Booking?
Be sure to apply Office Sp1 *plus* all the latest hotfixes ( You'll
need to ask for them via the PSS download page.)
There are a ton of bugs with Outlook 2007 and resource mailboxes.

Re: Reocuring meetings
I know in the resource mailbox in the calendar i have checked automatically
accept meeting requests and process cancellations. and Automatically decline
conflicting meeting requests. The third checkbox is empty not checked. I
will patch the clients and see if i get different results, thanks for the
information

You may may also want to uncheck the option to cache shared calendars
in Outlook.
Since you are using Exch 2003, this can lead to resource exhaustion on
the server.
