MMC 3.0
I need to install MMC 3.0 and Powershell on an Exchange 2003 SP2 server as
prerequisites to another third party backup application. Can anyone confirm
whether there may be any issues with this, or is it generally safe?

This is included in Windows 2003 SP2, so you should have it installed
already, unless you're running Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 without SP2; I
certainly hope this isn't the case.

Powershell requires .NET framework 2.0; both of them are totally safe to
install on an Exchange server.

there shouldnt be any problems since E2k or E2k3 dsnt depends on
powershell / mmc 3.0

Well Exchange does use the MMC, so once you upgrade, your management console
will be running in MMC 3.0.
That said it works fine.
