2 exchange servers 1 domain different locations
Good Morning Everyone,

I have been looking online for weeks and can't determine the correct
solution for my problem. I am running a domain on windows server 2003. I
have 2 servers running windows 2003 server with exchange 2003. Both servers
are in different locations a central location and a remote location. The
remote location communicates by satelite (4mbps download/2mbps upload). The
configuration now is that each exchange server has its own pair of storage
groups. The mailboxes on each server are independent of one another and this
makes it difficult to manage if a user at the central location needs access
to their mailbox at the remote location. The servers are setup this way
because we don't always have connection to the central location from the
remote location.

How can I create a seamless environment for the user with limited bandwidth
so that the user can access the mailbox no matter what location they will be
at?

Can you please identify resources to read as well as infrasture
considerations and best practices please.

Thank You in Advance.

(honestly) I am confused with your setup. Let me ask you few question
to help you in configuring a solution. You mentioned that you have
users who are part of "central location" and want access for mailboxes
in "remote locations", so for eq if i have users in New York and they
want access to their mailboxes say in Ohio. Is that what you meant ?

If thats the story the solution is simple: Use RPC/HTTP (introduced in
E2k3). or if you dont want this - how about Outlook Web Access ?
