Dynamic lists and contacts
Hi All,

Can I use contacts defined in Active Directory within Exchange 2003
Address Lists?

I've created the Address list, and a preview shows the correct contacts.
However out on the Outlook clients, the list is empty.

Thanks,

Adrian

I know i would sound a bit dumb, however are you trying to view
contacts under Global Address List while checking for contacts in OL
or normal contacts.
the fact is that if you are selecting the contacts under Global
Address List and still if you are not getting the entire list - means
that OL is unable to get the info from Exchange Server. This would
then make me guess that your OL is in cache mode - so what happens if
you check OL in online mode or using Outlook Web Access - since using
both the methods OL works directly with GAL (Global Address List) - so
there should be no discrepiences.

Please do inform me whats the result.

Hi

Definitly from the server, not the local client..

I've tried both cache and non-cache modes. The list appears in the
Drop-down box (Show names from the:), but its an empty list in outlook.
But like I say, in the preview its all there... Hence my confusion..
