Hi, Please could you help me? We are running Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange version 6.5.7638. That I know of, nothing has changed (i.e. no new software installed, no updates applied etc). Yesterday, we lost our ability to send outgoing email. Incoming mail is received okay. Out Internet connection is fine. Our ISP have said that there is no problem at their end. When we do attempt to send a mail, we recieve a notification to this effect: "This is a warning message only. You do not need to resend your message. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed." My knowledge is very limited but I have tried to troubleshoot the issue. I can see through MS Exchange System Manager --> Admininstrative Groups --> First Administrative Group --> Servers --> Server Name --> Queues --> SmallBusiness SMTP Connector that our outgoing mails are in the queue with a status of 'Retry'. I have tried 'Freezing' and 'Unfreezing' the queue. I have tried 'Forcing a connection' the outcome of which (in the Additional Queue Information) is always 'The connection was dropped by the remote host' although the status changes briefly to 'Active'. I can't see anything in the Event Logs. I've tried turning on MSExchange Transport / Queuing Engine and SMTP Protocol diagnostic logging to maximum but it didn't help. What logging can I turn on to help me? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please help! Thank you in advance.

Changes in router ACLs, routing tables, etc. can cause problems like this. -- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP MS Exchange FAQ at http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Don't send mail to this address mailto:h.pott@getronics.com Or to these, either: mailto:h.pott@pinkroccade.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuckle@getronics.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuckle@pinkroccade.com
