In Exchange 2007 I know pubic folders are de-emphasized but if I were still using them how would Exchange 2007 access them? In 2003 it was NNTP but i don't think that is the case any longer according to Technet. Is it done via RPC or SMTP or something like that now? Thanks, Dan

Via Outlook and OWA, they are just there. Public folders will be around a long time. http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/03/31/448537.aspx
that's not my question... I'm asking that when you click a PF from outlook what protocol is used? it used to be NNTP but it doesn't appear that's the case any longer. Any idea? NNTP? Naw. That was never used unless you were accessing a non-Mapi pf tree with HTTP or NNTP. For Outlook 2003 and older, its mapi from Outlook. Outlook 2007 can use HTTP/WebDav. > >"Andy David {MVP}" wrote: > >> On Mon, 16 Jun 2008 15:02:35 -0700, Dan >> wrote: >> >> >In Exchange 2007 I know pubic folders are de-emphasized but if I were still >> >using them how would Exchange 2007 access them?
