We store information in active directory such as a person's home number, address, etc... If you open a user in outlook and view their details, this information is visable to anyone. How can we make these hidden in outlook so that a normal user cannot view any users home phone number? We use the data in AD for other things and really would not like to have to remove the data from the users AD objects.
Modify the details template. Here's an example: HOW TO: Modify Display Template to make default email address appear in Address Book/GAL http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2006/11/how-to-modify-display-template-to-make.html -- Bharat Suneja Microsoft Corporation blog: exchangepedia.com/blog This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Thanks, that worked ok. However, the information still shows up in OWA and if a user does a lookup on a windows mobile device. How can I stop that from happening? I have tried denying read access to attributes in Active Directory but that only blocks them in like AD users and computers snap in. I beleive exchange uses a system account or something to do the lookup. FYI, I am using Exchange 2007.
