Palm vs Blackberry
Which of these works best with a single exchange 2003 server sitting behind
a tight firewall.

Thanks

Re: Palm vs Blackberry
- If you have HTTPS access, typically for OWA or RPC over HTTPS, Exchange
ActiveSync uses the same port. No additional servers are required.

For wireless syncing, what works best natively with Exchange is a Windows
Mobile 5 or 6 device.
A Palm that runs Windows Mobile is fine.
One that runs PalmOS
is not going to give you full functionality, nor is a Blackberry unless you
run Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Re: Palm vs Blackberry
Like Bharat said, WM uses OWA or RPC over HTTPS. So that's an easy solution.
However if you have locked that down, you may want to look at Blackberry Ent
Server.
On a side note, Palm OS isn't going to give the same level of integration
that WM or BB will. If you go with Palm, choose the WM versions.

That will depend on what you want to do? We have both Palm OS and BlackBerry
in our environment as well as BlackBerry Enterprise Server. From a
management point of view BlackBerry with BES is the way to go. Functionality
wise I can get pretty much the same abilities (assuming the BES is in play).
In addition if your local carrier support BlackBerry Connect (ours doesn't)
you can integrate select Palm and Windows Mobile devices with BES.
