Restoring exchange to a rebuilt Domain
I am considering wiping out my Domain COntroller and Exchange Server (Same
Server) and seperating them. My decision is soley based on sevearal critical
errors from the current server including DNS, Sharepoint and AD problems.

When I build the new domain add all of my users and build the new Exchange
server will I be able to restore the old exchange data to this new server
with a different SID? WIll the users be able to connect tothere "old
mailboxes" Etc?

Thanks for your help in advance....

Re: Restoring exchange to a rebuilt Domain
I would most definitely not recommend that approach.

Re: Restoring exchange to a rebuilt Domain
Hi,

Your best bet would probably be to install the new Exchange server into the
existing Exchange organization and move mailboxes to it.
You can also create a new DC that gets a copy of AD from the current one.
