SQL2008- Fulltext search- user group 'MSSQLFDLauncher' does not ex
Hi,

I was trying to install Team Foundation Server and it complained about
Full-text Search. It says that Full-Text Search is not installed.

This is in a Win2008 with a full SQL2008 (RC0) installation.

I review the installed components and the full-text installation is installed!
So, I made a Repair.

The reapir ended with an error message:

  Feature: Full-Text Search
Status: Failed: see logs for details
  MSI status: Passed
Configuration status: Failed: see details below
  Configuration error code:
Microsoft.SqlServer.Configuration.Sco.ScoException@1211@1
Configuration error description: The specified user group
'MSSQLFDLauncher' does not exist.
  Configuration log: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20080722_155332\Detail.txt

What can I do to solve this problem?

If it helps, I installed a full instance of SQL2005 after installed the
SQL2008. Can SQL2005 installation damage the SQL2008 installation?

Thanks,
Pedro Gonçalves
