Why should the Pagefilesize be greater than (RAMsize×1.01) with MSSQLㄠ?
See Subject and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889654 (How to determine
the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows Server
2003 or Windows XP)

I have a system equipped with 64GiB of RAM.
Why does does SQL and MSDTC require this configuration? RAM sizes are
increasing nowadays and the article also states "When lots of memory is
added to a computer, a paging file may not be required.".
I agree to that. Why should a machine with a few dozen Gigs of RAM
require an even bigger pagefile? Swapping that much would decrease
system performance so much that it imho would also affect system stability.

Regards,

Peter
