Re: Installing RTM SQL Server 2008
Believe me, I tried every option that I can think of but everytime it
failed to install SQL 2008
I had brand new machine with VS2008 (w/o SP1) & SQL 2008 RC0 installed
& I tried un-nstall SQL 2008 RC0 then install SQL 2008 RTM, it failed
I think MS is really stupid, they just can never get an s/w installed
w/o issues the first time, as usual they are always in a hurry to get
the product out of the DOOR w/o doing enough testing
It looks like I need to reinstall OS & restart all over, man hate
these stupid MS crapppp

Re: Installing RTM SQL Server 2008
Funny, I had a few machines with RC0 and VS 2008 installed, and removed
those, and SQL 2008 RTM installed just fine. Can you post somewhere a
screen shot of your add/remove programs, because clearly you are missing
something to uninstall.
