I am trying to upgrade a number of remote sites from MSDE 1 to MSDE 2000 ready. Some sites are XP/SP1 and some are XP/SP2. As yet I have had no problems with XP/SP1 sites but on some of the XP/SP2 sites I get the following error message:- Starting custom action SetFileAndRegACLs() Failed to set file security. Ending custom action SetFileAndRegACLs(). Action ended 09:26:14: InstallFinalize. Return value 3. At this point the install fails and rolls back. The command I am entering is setup UPGRADE=1 BLANKSAPWD=1 DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0 /L*v MSDE.LOG Any suggestions on what the problem is?
