content managment in sql 2005   
hi

before years it says that store files on the hard drive and stor only links 
in databse is that role true till now or new versions of sql work good even 
if files stored in the database ?

and haw the client computer knows what type of data it is retriving like 
.doc or .pdf or .avi  , if its saved as binary or any other blob formats ?

SQL 2008 has improved on this and it's really neat how they make it all 
work.
