ShapeStudio Database Administration
I use Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003, and Visio 2003 Service Pack 2
(SP2).
I want to start using ShapeStudio and have successfully downloaded and
installed the Visio 2003 SDK. To start using ShapeStudio I understand that
you need to create a database. I followed the MSDN Library article from Saul
Candib (Dec. 2004). And installed SQL Server 2005 Express edition.

However, when I want to execute the SSadmin.exe program to create the
database, I get the following message:

"This machine does not currently have Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or
compatible technologies (MSDE) installed."

I can only click ok. Nothing happens.

My question; how to create the database, or get started with ShapeStudio,
having SQL Server 2005 Express edition successfully installed. Where do I go
from there when the SSAdmin.exe does not seem to work? I work on a
stand-alone desktop computer.

Tx,

Bouwpet

Re: ShapeStudio Database Administration
I'm having the exact same problem as Bouwpet.
Has anyone successfully created a ShapeStudio database on SQL Server 2005
Express edition?
