I'm using visio to document/model a database. I need the entity shape in the diagram to display not only the name of a column and it's datatype but also the information in the "notes" column of the database properties window. I can make the entity shape display all of the column attributes except "notes". Is there any way to display the notes too? Thanks, Jim

The solution manages the data, it is not part of the shape, except through the modeling features. \par \par Barb Way \par Product Support - Visio \par Microsoft Corporation \par This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. \par }
I'm sorry Barb but if you use Visio for enterprise architect there are a lot of reports and you can print the notes "DataBase=>Report=>Table report". Show you in a couple of week at the conference. Enjoy with visio. "jts" a écrit dans le message de news:7D576831-4087-4F66-9387-80606B99AFF0@microsoft.com... > I'm using visio to document/model a database. However, Jim's original question was about displaying that information in the Drawing, which is not possible. \par \par I will definitely be at the Visio Conference, and hope to meet you as well :-) \par \par Barb Way \par Product Support - Visio \par Microsoft Corporation \par This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. \par \par \pard\li720 -------------------- \par From: "Michel LAPLANE \\(MVP\\)" \par References: \par In-Reply-To: \par Subject: Re: Modify Entity Shape to include the notes column \par Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 18:07:08 +0100 \par \par \par I'm sorry Barb but if you use Visio for enterprise architect there are a lot \par of reports and you can print the notes \par "DataBase=>Report=>Table report". \par Show you in a couple of week at the conference. \par \par Enjoy with visio. \par "jts" a \'c3\'a9crit dans le message de \par news:7D576831-4087-4F66-9387-80606B99AFF0@microsoft.com... \par > I'm using visio to document/model a database.
