\viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs26 If they don't need to edit the information in the Visio drawing after inserting it in the Word document, they could use the Paste Special command in Word, and insert the Visio image as an EMF or WMF picture. This won't be editable, just a visual 'picture of a diagram', but it may suit their needs.

\par I'm unfamiliar with the Word add-ins, but your result is not normal Visio /
\par Word behavior. Usually, you can either just paste or paste special and
\par insert a Visio drawing into Word, which would be edittable in Visio by
\par double-clicking on it. You might want to try a test case without the Word
\par add-in.
