Can't see eccentricity handles on arc shape
According to MS help, if you click on the control point of an arc with the
pencil tool, while holding the CTRL key, you will see the arc's eccentricity
handles. I've tried this and it doesn't work. Is there an option or some
other method of being able to do this? Thanks.

RE: Can't see eccentricity handles on arc shape
After you've drawn the arc, and assuming you're zoomed in close enough,
selectiing the pencil tool will highlight the deflection node. Click on this
with the pencil tool and the deflection handles should appear.

Re: Can't see eccentricity handles on arc shape
Hi Dan,

This worked in past versions of Visio. I think that it is currently broken.

There are two ways to workaround.

Graphical

1. Switch to the Pointer Tool (Ctrl + 1)
2. Resize your shape's height or width (if shape is still 1D -- ie:
defined by endpoints, then only the height will help you)
3. Go back to the Pencil Tool and re-select your bow-point. You should
see the handles.

Of course, if you can't afford to resize your shape, this could be
problematic. You can always resize the shape, pull the bow handles out
further, then put the shape back to the original size...

ShapeSheet

1. Open the ShapeSheet for your shape (Window > Show ShapeSheet)
2. Find the EllipticalArcTo row that controls the curve in question
3. In the "D" cell, enter a big value, like 5 or something.

You should now see the bow handles when you select the bow-point with
the Pencil Tool.

Yeesh!
