Merging PDFs with Pub document
I am working on a newsletter right now. Most of the articles that get
sent to me were typed in Word and I copy and paste them into Publisher.
Then, I use PrimoPDF to convert the entire Pub document into a PDF
document, and I email it to the printer.

But, I have 2 pages that are PDFs, and I can't figure out how to get
them in the right position within the entire 8 page document. Let's say
pages 2 and 7 are PDFs.

I can't figure out any way to merge the PDFs within the publisher
document. I hope I'm explaining this clearly. Thanks!

Try, Insert, Object, Adobe Acrobat Document, Create from File, browse to the
PDF. You'll not be able to edit. Have you tried opening the PDF in the Acrobat
Reader, copy/paste from it to Publisher? This maybe the best if there is more
than one page.

Ok, great, I'll try both ways. Thank you!

This is perfect and ... duh ... so obvious!

Re: Merging PDFs with Pub document
Erika,

There is a way of doing this that you may not have thought of. PrimoPDF
allows you to "append" one file to another. You could print page 1 to a
.pdf. Then print the first PDF file to the same name. You may have to check
your default settings so you are prompted to append rather than overwrite.
Print Publisher pages 2 thru 6 to the same .pdf file, appending again. Then
the second .pdf file and lastly Publisher page 8.

Yes, it takes a few extra moments but you can use this same idea to combine
other file types as well. Not everything fits inside a single Publisher
 page. ;-)
