Re: External links between project not updating correctly.
Hello Jag,
There are two primary methods of creating master, or consolidated,
project files. One is to create the master project file which will be
the shell for the inserted projects. Then in the master file, choose
Insert > Project and select the project(s) you wish to insert into the
master. The inserted projects are embedded in the master and changes
made to the inserted project will be reflected in the master file.
Likewise, changes made to task(s) in the master project, will be
reflected in the inserted project file.
The other method is to open the multiple subproject files and choose
Window > New Window to create a consolidated master project.
See Help for further details.
In the future, please post your question to one of the following
newsgroups:
Microsoft.public.project - for general (non-server) questions
about Microsoft project
Microsoft.public.project.server - for questions specific to Project
Server
Microsoft.public.project.developer - for questions about using
programming (VBA, VB, C, etc) in Project and Project server.
Note: I have set the follow-up for this message to
Microsoft.public.project
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
